I need help with a friend request on MySpace?

I recently changed my MySpace profile from private to public, and a few days after I changed it, I got a friend request from a girl in my area and I don't know her. Her picture and info seems legit, as I have seen fake profiles before, but she has her profile set to private so I can't find out any more about her unless I add her as a friend. I googled her name and info and nothing came up and I even looked through MySpace and I couldn't find her profile. I still haven't accepted or denied her friend request. What should I do?

JUST ACCEPT IT. EVEN IF ITS SOMEONE FAKE NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. ONCE U CAN SEE THIER PROFILE IF ITS SOMEONE U DONT KNOW U CAN JUST REMOVE AND BLOCK HER FROM YOUR FRIEND LIST.

Dont take this friends request tooo seriously like most ppl. Just do what I do accept the person and view page and pix if you want to keep her do but if you are not impressed then click on the back button and deny! Just that simple... Report It

This isn't a life and death situation. If you don't know her or don't feel like adding her then just don't. It's as simple as that.

You will get lots of friend requests having your profile public. Usually I decline private profiles because I do not know what the person represents so can't thus make a decision to be their friend.

Some people on myspace try to accumulate as many friends as possible. I decline those type of friend requests too. As a female if I get a friend request from a guy and go to his space and see it is all beautiful women as friends, then I feel he is just collecting and I am just another pretty face.

I do accept friends who share ideology, beliefs and/or interests. You will get to where you can tell who is a sincere friend.
