Maybe I am overanalyzing, but I am curious. My ex used to put tons of pictures of he and I together on his Facebook and Myspace. His profile picture was always he and I together. He broke up with me a few months ago after a 2 yr relationship. He started dating one of his "friends" and I know for a fact that he has pictures of them together. He just never set them to his profile picture. Now that he and that girl have broken up after only a few weeks of dating, he is starting to put a bunch of different pictures of him wearing clothes that I gave him, or even my clothes that I let him keep. They are all either from back when we were together, or now when he is wearing those sentimental clothes. He also keeps setting his status to depressing things that make me think maybe he is changing his mind and misses me. Am I overanalyzing or could he be regretting losing me?

A few things are happening here. First, yes you are overanalyzing the situation. Guys typically don't associate clothing with the person who bought it for them.

Second, your ex-boyfriend is insecure and only identifies himself as complete when associated as part of a couple. If he wants to adapt his own identity, he needs to stop posting pictures of himself as a part of a couple, and only post pictures of himself.

Third, if this is your ex-boyfriend you need to stop being so involved with what is going on in his life. It's nice of you to be still friends if you had an amiable break up, but it's creepy for you to be so concerned about the details of what is going on in his personal life. You are acting like a borderline stalker.

The best advice I can give you: It's time for you to move on and stop focusing on the relationship that didn't work. Learn your lesson about this old relationship, and find a new guy to date.
